Happy Sunday friends and family!

Wishing all the dads, step dads, uncles, papas and grandpas a wonderful Happy Father's Day, I hope you got to spend some time doing the things you love to do on your special day!

We had a busy week with lots of exciting things happening in our classroom. We would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Parent Association for providing another wonderful opportunity for our Andrew Sibbald Students with Lacrosse! Our kiddos are so lucky. My class has a few students now eager and excited to hopefully get into a camp or program this summer, after having an opportunity to try this.

We had an amazing time with Coach Dan this week from Elev8 Lacrosse. Our learning intentions for this PE residency were:
  • I can move in different ways to play games.
  • I can catch and throw a ball using control and coordination.
  • I can use different strategies to play games with others.
  • I can use my body to dodge, run, and change directions during activities.
  • I can follow rules and use equipment safely.
  • I can try new skills and strategies to help my partner in a task.
  • I can explain what worked well in a skill and how I can improve.
  • I can work together with others to play fairly and solve problems.
  • I can listen to others and take turns when playing together.
  • I can cheer others on and show respect while playing.
  • I can try my best, even when a skill is hard for me.
  • I can set a goal to improve a skill and keep working toward it.
  • I can stay positive and keep playing, even when my team doesn't win.

We were all so excited to about learning new things this week, we decided to write about it in our journals as well.

Reminder friends, Tuesday is our Pancake breakfast and western wear and sports day! See you all on Monday.

Ms. Craik
