Good evening families,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Just a reminder that our in class talent show will be this coming Monday in the afternoon.

We were super excited to have seen the mural finally come to LIFE in our gymnasium. We know that there was a lot of work that went into this masterpiece with Justin and Mrs. Scarrow (and the teacher committee), we also appreciated that ALL students voices at Andrew Sibbald had an opportunity to contribute to this.

"I am happy he recognized that Justin added the parts we wanted to see in it." Norah

"I liked that he added holding hands with each other, and the different colours because we all have different skins." Jill

"I liked that he added the book, because we are good learners here at Andrew Sibbald School." Liesel

We had a great week together full of some wonderful learning in our classroom. One of our highlights this week was in math, our learning intentions for Data Analysis and Graphing were:

  • I can ask questions and collect data to help answer it.
  • I can sort and organize data into categories.
  • I can keep track of data using tallies, lists, or tables.
  • I can show data using a bar graph or a pictograph.
  • I can label a graph so others can understand it.
  • I can use pictures or symbols to show how many are in each group.
  • I can read a graph and tell what it shows.
  • I can compare groups to find which has more, fewer, or the same.
  • I can answer questions using the date in a graph.
  • I can talk about what data means.
  • I can make a decision or explain something using what I learned from the graph.

Also a huge thank you to ALL of our parents who have volunteered with us over the year, we so appreciate you all!!! The parent tea was held this week and was a huge hit!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening! See you all tomorrow morning.

Ms. Craik
