Happy Sunday families,

I hope you had a good weekend together, even with the snow that we had on Saturday! We had a busy week in grade 2 this week. Huge thank you again to the parents who were able to join us on our third walking trip to Fish Creek it sure was a beautiful morning.


A highlight of our week was Fish Creek, our learning intentions for this were:

I can:

  • Discuss ways to respect plants and animals while interacting in various environments.
  • Explain positive and negative impacts of human behaviour on plants and animals. 
  • Represent the life cycles of various plants and animals. Discuss and compare life cycles of various plants and animals.
  • Discuss how humans might interact with land, plants, and animals if they see land, plants, and animals as equals.
  • Identify ways in which people show care for land, plants, and animals through cultural practices.

"Animal tracks, I think it is a bear waking up from hibernating."

"The geese we saw are definitely Brightbill and Glimmerwing from the Wild Robot."

"I can hear the birds chirping."

"I can see the beaver damns and birds nest everywhere."

"It must be spring because the sun is shinning and it is hard to see."






























Just a reminder that we are having our Spring Equinox celebration of learning this Thursday 9:30 am start hoping to be done by 10:15 with our Kinder friends.

We were super excited to have seen the mural finally come to LIFE in our gymnasium. Thank you again to all the volunteers who were able to join us this week at the Zoo. The students had an amazing day! Our highlights for our week together was our field trip.
