Love Laugh Teach in Grade 2

Happy Sunday families, Thank you for everyone who took the time to connect with me during parent conferences this week it was so great to catch up and share all the amazing things your children are doing in Grade 2!  Reminder this week at school Thursday is Halloween and students are invited to wear their costumes to school that day. A highlight from our week together this week was learning about number quantities up to 1000. In math our learning intentions were:  I can c ount to 1000 by 1s, 2s, and 10s starting at different values and by 20, 25, and 50 from 0. (Grade 2 Math) Foundation of counting *In addition to the 100-chart, base ten blocks and mats are a tool we use frequently when practicing our counting skills and solving problems.  Happy Sunday grade two families, What a fun week we had at school this week! Thank you to the families who have booked their conference time with me. I look forward to connecting with you all on Thursday and Friday! Also a huge thank you to the parents for organizing our first fun lunch and of course the Halloween dance, the students loved this!

Good evening families, I hope you have all had a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend, and enjoyed some quality time together with your families! Here are some highlights of our week together; Learning Intentions: Art (Thanksgiving cards). I can use shapes in art. I can create texture in art. I can create my own designs. I can draw using different tools, pencils, pencil crayons, and sharpies.

What an amazing short but busy week we had in Grade 2. Firstly thank you to all the families for their generous donations to our Terry Fox event at Andrew Sibbald we are so lucky here to have so many amazing families in our community!
