Good evening families, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Just a reminder that our in class talent show will be this coming Monday in the afternoon. We were super excited to have seen the mural finally come to LIFE in our gymnasium. We know that there was a lot of work that went into this masterpiece with Justin and Mrs. Scarrow (and the teacher committee), we also appreciated that ALL students voices at Andrew Sibbald had an opportunity to contribute to this.  "I am happy he recognized that Justin added the parts we wanted to see in it." Norah "I liked that he added holding hands with each other, and the different colours because we all have different skins." Happy May long weekend 2nd grade crew families, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend together. Huge thank you again to the parent association who provided us with lunch on Friday for our PD working day, it was  delicious! We had a lovely but busy short week this week. One of our highlights from our week together was our gymnastics unit. Our learning intentions for this were: Physical Education (Gymnastic Unit and Canadian Climber) I can climb up, across, and down safely using different body parts. I can balance on different parts of my body in still and moving positions. I can move in different ways (like crawling, hanging, sliding or jumping) on and around the equipment. I can control my body when I move on the climbing equipment. I can hold a balance on a narrow or uneven surface. I can land safely on two feet after jumping or climbing. Good evening families I hope this weekend has been wonderful for you all. Wishing all the Mom's a very happy Mother's day, I hope you found some time this weekend to enjoy some time for you! Thank you again to all the volunteers who were able to join us this week at the Zoo. The students had an amazing day! Our highlights for our week together was our field trip.
